  1. Ragnarok Press License Agreement

  3. By using or installing this software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.

  5. 1: License Grant 
  6.  
  7. Number of Users: In consideration for the license fee paid, Ragnarok Press grants to you only, the
  8. Licensee, the non-exclusive, nontransferable right to use and display the Scriptorium product
  9. purchased through this service. If you are using this product for your work, this agreement
  10. applies to your employer.  Scriptorium software or image collections may be used on one CPU
  11. at your site connected to any number of printers or other image producing devices at that own
  12. site.

  14. Third Parties: You may send a copy of any font or image for which you hold a license along with
  15. your documents to a commercial printer or other service bureau to enable the editing or printing
  16. of your document, provided that such party agrees to erase those fonts or images from their
  17. storage media and accepts liability for any misuse or appropriation of the font or image. You may
  18. also "embed" TrueType format fonts within your documents for the viewing, editing, and
  19. printing of those documents.

  21. Modifications. You may not modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or
  22. create derivative works based on the Scriptorium product without prior written consent from
  23. Ragnarok Press.

  25. Backups: You may make one (1) copy of this Scriptorium product solely for backup purposes
  26. provided the copyright and trademark notices are reproduced in their entirety on the backup
  27. copy.

  29. Rights Reservation. Ragnarok Press reserves all rights not specifically granted to Licensee.

  32. 2: Copyright

  34. This Scriptorium product and the accompanying materials are copyrighted and contain
  35. proprietary information and trade secrets of Ragnarok Press. Unauthorized copying of the product
  36. even if modified, merged, or included with other software, or of the written materials, is expressly
  37. forbidden. You may be held legally responsible for any infringement of Ragnarok Press
  38. intellectual property rights that is caused or encouraged by your failure to abide by the terms of
  39. this Agreement.

  42. 3: Termination

  44. This Agreement is effective until terminated. This Agreement will terminate automatically without
  45. notice from Ragnarok Press if you fail to comply with any provision contained herein. Upon
  46. termination, you must destroy the written materials, the Scriptorium roduct, and all copies of them, in
  47. part and in whole, including modified copies, if any.

  50. 4: Upgrades 
  51.  
  52. Ragnarok Press periodical updates many Scriptorium products.  As a licensed user you are entitled
  53. to upgrades at a discounted upgrade price.

  56. 5. Limited Warranty 
  57.  
  58. Ragnarok Press warrants the Bitstream Product to be free from defects in materials and
  59. workmanship under normal use for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of delivery as shown
  60. on your invoice. Ragnarok Press entire liability and your exclusive remedy as to a defective
  61. product shall be, at Ragnarok Press option, either return of purchase price or replacement of any
  62. such product that is returned to Ragnarok Press with a copy of the invoice. Ragnarok Press shall
  63. have no responsibility to replace the product or refund the purchase price if failure results from
  64. accident, abuse or misapplication, or if any product is lost or damaged due to theft, fire, or
  65. negligence. Any replacement product will be warranted for thirty (30) days.

  67. In all other ways this product is provided "as is". Ragnarok Press does not make any warranty of
  68. any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to the implied warranties of
  69. merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.  Ragnarok Press does not warrant that the
  70. functions contained in the Bitstream Product will meet your requirements or that the operation of
  71. the software will be uninterrupted or error free.

  73. Under no circumstances and under no legal theory, tort, contract, or otherwise, shall Ragnarok
  74. Press or its suppliers or resellers be liable to you or any other person for any indirect, special,
  75. incidental, or consequential damages of any character including, without limitation, damages for
  76. loss of goodwill, work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all other commercial
  77. damages or losses.

  79. This Agreement represents the complete agreement concerning this license between the parties
  80. and supersedes all prior agreements and representations between them. It may be amended only
  81. by a writing executed by both parties. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be
  82. unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be reformed only to the extent necessary to
  83. make it enforceable.  This Agreement shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the
  84. State of Texas.
